Voice Reader — Privacy Policy

No server
There is no Voice Reader server. The developer never receives or accesses your data. Your article text goes directly from your browser to ElevenLabs using your own API key, and only when you press play.
What it accesses
The article's text and title — read only when you press play — and your ElevenLabs API key, voice, and model.
Where data goes
On play, the extracted text is sent over HTTPS to ElevenLabs, authenticated with your key, to generate speech. Page URLs are not transmitted. There are no analytics or trackers.
Storage
Settings (API key, voice, model) are stored with chrome.storage.local — on your device only, not synced to your Google account.
Your control
Nothing is read or sent unless you press play. Remove your key in options, or uninstall, to delete all stored data.
